Karsa Oy is seeking a Product Engineer to support our Production Team.

At Karsa, we are dedicated to building highly sensitive instruments for atmospheric research and detection of harmful chemicals, such as explosives and pesticides. With our innovative technology, we have developed one of the most sensitive detectors in the world! As we expand our international customer base and prepare for a successful product roll-out in the analytical chemistry market within the next 5 years, we need a skilled Product Engineer to assist us in our mission.
About the role:
As our Product Engineer you will play a vital role in the development and production of our scientific instruments. Your main responsibility will be generating production documentation, such as assembly instructions and product specifications. You will support our Head of Production to develop production processes and you will assist in designing and constructing customer systems and components. Additionally, you shall troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and handle procurement of parts and in- and out-coming material.
You will primarily work with the control systems of our instruments, which consist of gas mass flow and custom voltage controllers. The control system modules interface with a PC-based solution over CANopen and Ethernet. Gas flow handling is the core functionality of this system. You will also handle precision machined components of our equipment as well as mass spectrometry instruments from our partners.
To be successful in this position, you should have relevant experience in engineering and technical documentation in e.g. manufacturing of high tech or scientific products. You should have strong problem-solving and analytical skills and enthusiasm for document writing. Being fluent in written and spoken English and good interpersonal skills are required. Knowledge of 3D CAD software is considered beneficial.
