Title: Rapid formation of highly oxygenated organic molecules (HOM) revealed with the multi-scheme chemical ionization (MION) inlet
Karsa’s Fariba Partovi will give a poster on a new, exciting application we have been working on. The MION used with a desorber and coupled to an Orbitrap mass spectrometer can be used to reliably detect hundreds of pesticides with an extremely simple workflow at least ten times faster than current methods. In the immediate future, we see this as a powerful pre-screening method, to reduce the time spent on needlessly analyzing safe samples with certified methods.
